Dr. Stugan is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. After graduation, she worked at
the University of Pittsburgh in medical research before attending the University of Pennsylvania
School of Veterinary Medicine. After receiving her VMD from Penn, she completed a small
animal medicine and surgical internship.

She worked in both general practice and emergency medicine in Pennsylvania before moving
to Kentucky. She worked in general practice in Somerset, KY for many years but has recently
relocated to the Lexington area. She has an interest in internal medicine, feline medicine, and
infectious disease.

She has two children, Jack and Emily, and two cats, Posie and Lulu. Outside of veterinary
medicine she enjoys spending time with her kids, reading, and attempting yoga.
