Dr. Wade King is the son of Denis and Myra King and grew up in the practice. He attended the University of Ky as an Animal Science major prior graduating from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation, he completed an internship in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine in Louisville at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services. Following his internship, he remained at Metropolitan for an additional two years as an emergency veterinarian. In 2017, he decided it was time to move back home and take part in the family business. In 2019, he purchased Frankfort Animal Clinic and looks forward to continuing the family business of caring for Frankfort’s furry family members.

Dr. King is married to Dr. Monica King (a practicing emergency veterinarian) and together they have 5 dogs at home- a Dachshund (Julep), three French Bulldogs (Pinky, Pearl, and Portia), and a Shih Tzu (Izzy) who keep them busy. They are expecting their first child in December. When not spoiling his dogs, he enjoys bird hunting, grilling, and golfing. While he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, he is particularly interested in critical care medicine, advanced ultrasound, and surgery.
